Starting up a business involves three basic steps:
1. A name search using the Name Approval Request Application form
2. One Stop Business Registration or Incorporation
3. Obtain a Business License (from the City Hall of the city you plan to conduct a business in).

Name Search processed within 2-3 business days through the Surrey Board of Trade
- $50.00 per search, in person
- $60.00 per search by fax 604-588-7549 (Visa/MasterCard/AMEX)
- An additional $100.00 for a priority search, which provides results within 24 hours

Certificates of Origin are shipping documents detailing information on the type of goods being exported, their destination, and most important, their country or countries of origin. The burden of determining whether a Certificate of Origin is necessary is the exporter's responsibility. Once that determination is made, the Surrey Board of Trade can certify that the information provided by the exporteron the Certificate of Origin is correct according to the accompanying documentation, such as the invoice or shipping affidavit. Validation is a key service provided by the Surrey Board of Trade with a preferred rate given to Surrey Board of Trade members. All Certificate of Origin clients must provide a notarized letter of waiver to be kept on file for 2 years.

$15.00 (+HST) certificate of origin (per shipment) for members
$30.00 (+HST) Certificate of origin (per shipment) for non-members
